First Post in FOREVER…

And it’s gonna be a short one.

Eternity

I’m still not really doing anything with this blog since life is simply too demanding these days.  The short story is that I’m now a single parent and don’t have a shred of time for blogging…and no, I’m not going to explain.

Those that need to know definitely do, and I covet your prayers (if somehow you end up on here).

The only reason I’m posting is because today I did something that has been on my to do list for around 2 years.  Since today was a holiday, I spent a few hours working and converted the Generational Curse series into a short e-book.

It’s free, so please excuse the spelling errors, lack of stunning layout and any other unforgivable sins.

  1. Maybe ‘not’ instead of ‘now dead’ Unger?

For whatever reason leaving you a single parent, I lift my prayers to GOD for you and your child.

May you find peace and rest.

    and Old reader…

  2. Praying for you. And I’ve been where you are. Single parent, health issues and every moment requiring attention. Our God is abundantly faithful. It won’t be easy but you can do this.

You don’t know this, but you (and a handful of others) were instrumental in helping me recover from 20 years of charismatic chaos. Thank you. God bless.

    • Thanks so much Sharon.

It’s not a road that I would have chosen for myself, but it’s the road that the Lord has brought.

Praise the Lord that somehow I was helpful for you to recover from decades of charismatic chaos. That’s absolutely amazing to me!

      May the Lord bless you!

  3. Brother you have been missed.
I remember you suffered from sickness and that had slowed down your postings but both you and Fred Butler were active blogers a few years back.

My wife and I prayed for you today and for God to encourage your heart.

  4. Hi Lyndon,
I came on your blog when searching for Jentezen Franklin. Sorry to hear you are a single parent and I pray the Lord may lift you up and strengthen and shield you and the family.
As for generational curse, will have a look through the ebook.
As for Jentezen Franklin I feel led to share with you the other site I came on when searching for him and critisim :
    https://www.jentezenfranklin.org/daily-devotions/handling-criticism
We shall bless and be a blessing.
    So be blessed.
God’s Grace and peace and mercy.
    Oliver

    • Hi Oliver,

      Thanks for your kind words.

As for criticizing Jentezen Franklin, that article is around 70% on point with a major glaring exception: when the issue is one of biblical interpretation, then the issue is solely one of accuracy.

I can have no experience in Jentezen Franklin’s field, not know him, and be a shameless and constant critic (which I strongly try to not be, but 98% of the messages and requests I get are for evaluating this or that), and still offer accurate rebuttal to his understanding of scripture.

The whole “judge nothing before the appointed time” is a restating of the tired old “touch not the Lord’s anointed” canard, which has been used to insulate the worst heretics from any criticism at all.

  5. Hi Lyndon. I have been re-reading your excellent and entertaining posts. They helped me tremendously back in 2015, when the Lord opened my eyes to the lethal errors of the charismatic movement I had been bound up in for 30+ years.
In some ways I am still getting over this devastating time. I have found that few in this movement will listen and be delivered, which saddens me. I listen to good teachers online and sift everything. Things in the NAR – dominated church world look to be worsening by the day.
I am sorry thst you are facing difficulties. I pray that Christ will guide and strengthen you. I hope one day you will have the time to rrturn to this very valuable and insightful blog. My best to you, Mike Evans

    • Hi Mike,

I’m so glad that the Lord used my feeble writing to some benefit with you.

The NAR definitely is as crazy as it’s ever been though.

Do you know about Holly Pivec? She’s someone who does a ton of great writing about the NAR stuff and is a friend and ally. I’d recommend following her stuff online; she’s great.

I covet your prayers, and hope that one day I’ll have time to return to blogging as well.

May the Lord bless you and yours,

      Lyndon

  6. I was cleaning out my inbox and found your blogs again. I really appreciated your writing, and wondered if you were writing again, and where I could follow you? I pray that you are doing well.
