Well, it’s no suprise. Rob Bell, famous for his books Velvet Elvis, Sex God, Jesus Wants to Save Christians, and Drops Like Stars, as well as the Nooma video series, has now come out with a new book: Love Wins. Bell takes a look at “Heaven, Hell, and the fate of everyone who ever lived”, and guess what? Everyone gets to go to heaven! Rob Bell is a universalist extraordinaire!
Big shock. A young, educated guy who get up to his neck in historic liberalism abandons biblical Christianity.
Over at the Gospel Coalition, Kevin DeYoung gives an in-depth review of Bell’s new book and sorts through a bunch of Bell’s questions and (bizarre) answers. Definitely worth the read, since I’m guessing that more than a few people will encounter folks who read the book and either have questions or get really arrogant with the “new truths” that they learn.
Blessings on my 10 readers!
Until Next Time,

– One other thing – Seeing that Hell isn’t something that many churches ever talk about with any level of depth whatsoever, and seeing that most Christians have little to no framework for dealing with common questions about Hell, I thought I would link to something that might prove interesting and provoke a significant amount of thought. Over in the U.K. there’s a radio program called Unbelievable, which basically gets Christians and non-Christians on the air together and provides opportunity for impromptu interaction and debate.
In August 2009, James White was on the program and interacted with Roger and Faith Forrester. The Forresters, like Bell, are universalists who deny the everlasting conscious torment of Hell. White and the Forresters had an interaction that was fantastic, and I offer it to my readers as something to help you sort through this difficult issue.
